- Paul C. Rottink, 86, of Allison, Iowa, passed away January 3, 2013, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa. He was born on December 30, 1926, in Clarksville, Iowa, to Harry J. and Marie S. (Aukes) Rottink. Paul attended schools in Allison. He was united in marriage to Mamie Winkowitsch on October 16, 1949, in Kesley, Iowa. Paul farmed, milked dairy cows, was a hired hand, painted barns and houses and sold Archer Oil for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Kesley Presbyterian Church in Kesley, where he was an elder, a deacon, an usher and a Sunday School teacher. Paul was also a member of the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed spearing fish in the winter in the West Fork of the Cedar River, cutting wood, playing 500, attending basketball and football games for Alllison and Bristow, raising and selling watermelons and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife, of sixty-three years, Mamie Rottink of Allison, daughter Paulette (Steven) Lugg of Ventura, son Garry (Terri) Rottink of Grundy Center, grandchildren Mike Rottink, Jon Rottink, Tim Rottink, Amber Krusey, Jason Bru, Ryan Bru and Sarah Lugg, great-grandchildren Alicia Krusey, Brianna Krusey, Vanessa Krusey, Lilly Bru, Jay Bru, Archer Bru, Elliana Rottink, Naysa Rottink and one on the way, brothers David (Shirley) Rottink of Clarksville and Donald Rottink of Clarksville, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Marie, son Larry, daughter Doreen and sister Marion.
