From Bob's Obituary "Bob was born April 28, 1929 in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of John and Gladys Tennis Hull". Gladys didn?t survive the birth of her son and died. In 1933 his father John, married Gertrude VandeStreek who became Bob?s mother." Also, in 1930 Census Robert W. Hull, age 1, lived with his Grandparents William and Mary J. Hull.

Gertrude Van De Streek was born Jan 9, 1912 in Trenton, Dodge Co., Wisconsin. Daughter of Aart van de Streek and Gertrude Kwakkel. She married John Hull (Gertrude was his 2nd wife) Jan 9, 1933 in Rockford, Illinois. Gertrude Hull died August 14, 2001 and buried at Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun, Fond du Lac Co., Wisconsin.

Waupun-Gertrude Hull, 89, of 100 Harris Ave., No. 109, Waupun, died on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at her home. The funeral was held on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 1:30 p.m., at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. David Parrish officiated. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. Mrs. Hull was born on Jan. 9, 1912, in the township of Trenton, the daughter of Aart and Gerritje "Gertrude" (Kwakkel) Vande Streek. She was married on Jan. 9, 1933, to John Henry Hull in Rockford, Ill. Mrs. Hull was a life long resident of the Waupun area. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, its guild, and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Christian Home. She was an avid quilter, sewed blankets for all of her family, and enjoyed reading. She was formerly employed with Infant Socks, Waupun and Fond du Lac. She and her husband farmed in the Alto area and were the former owners of Hull Implement, where she was the bookkeeper. Survivors include eight sons, Robert (Beverly) Hull, Gordon (Marlene) Hull, Elton (Katherine) Hull, all of Waupun, Delvin (Donna) Hull, Colona, Ill., Lyle (Jayne) Hull, Waupun, Ronald (Joan) Hull, Burnett, Jerald (Luanne) Hull, Waupun, and Philip (Felipa) Hull, East Moline, Ill.; three daughters, Elaine (Samuel) Braaksma, Wisconsin Rapids, Lois (Gordon) Alsum, Waupun, and Caroline (Gene Bennett) Gilmore, Beaver Dam; 40 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Hull, on Oct 19, 1989; her parents; three brothers; three sisters; one son-in-law, Gary; one grandson; one grandson-in-law, and one granddaughter-in-law. Friends called on Wednesday, Aug 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Thursday, Aug. 16, from noon until the time of service at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun.
